Hailing from Salem, Oregon, Micaela Edelson is a passionate writer of prose and poetry that aims to shed light on humanity’s prioritization of profit over people and our constructed relationship with the natural world. Micaela studied and worked in the environmental field for a cumulative eight years until leaving to pursue a more fulfilling life working on a goat dairy to connect with the earth and at a public library to connect with her passion for the literary arts. She is now traveling through Southeast Asia for six months. Her work has been featured in a variety of literary journals, including Gothic Nature Journal, Sisyphus Magazine, and The Washington Post, among other platforms.

Micaela is a volunteer copyeditor with The Trumpeter Journal of Ecosophy and is a former resident at the Oakley Art House in Boulder, Colorado.
